victor ibañez: video maker
Victor Ibañez was born in Salem, Oregon in 1959 but grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been involved in photography and video from his teen years. His work evolved out of the Californian Punk music scene of the late seventies. Victor played bass in a band (The Soliders of Fortune) and photographed others on and off stage. During the eighties Vic studied Art and Film in Italy and then made home there.

In the mid 90s admist the enormous technological advances of the digital revolution, Ibañez left his new home in Italy and return to Northern California to get a degree in Communications Sciences at Sonoma State University.
New skills learned, he returned to Rome where he landed a job working for Cinecittà Studios shooting and editing documentaries on Italian cinema production. He went on to do freelance work as an editor and or Director for RAI UNO,KTVU, Matteo Basilé, Galleria Pack, INGV, Love 4 adventure, Music Box and many others.
Currently he continues his trek toward video nirvana: perfect sight, sound and storytelling. He often directs projects start to finish, from concept to delivery and market placement; he loves collaborating with clients and colleagues and strives for compelling storytelling, always!
